Low Cost Automatic Cars In India

This seems to be the season of automatic cars in the Indian car market. The overwhelming response to the automatic version of Maruti Celerio has prompted many of its rivals to come up with automatic variants. So, if you are looking for low cost automatic cars, what are the options you have? The list below might throw some light on the matter and might make it easy for you to decide.

Maruti Celerio – This one car has taken the market by storm. Priced at about 4.23 lakh rupees the Celerio certainly ought to be the topper in this list. With a stunning mileage of 23 kmpl, the Celerio has been the most sought after low cost automatic car in India since its launch early this year. The Celerio is the most wanted and most economical car of the lot, if one’s preference is an automatic car.

Hyundai Grand i10 – Coming from the house of Hyundai, the Grand i10 is another good option when it comes to low cost automatic cars in India. There are two versions of the Grand i10 available for a price of about 5.5 to 5.79 lakh rupees. It offers a mileage of about 18 kmpl. However, it has not been as popular as the Celerio.

Honda Brio – The automatic version of Honda Brio, Priced at about 6 lakh rupees is also a good option if one is looking for a low cost automatic car. However, the mileage offered by the Brio is not all that great, when compared to the rivals.

Nissan Micra – This hatchback from Nissan motors is also a good choice when it comes to low cost automatic cars in India. Priced at about 6.65 lakh rupees, this hatchback returns a mileage of about 19 kmpl. This is certainly a good choice for you if you don’t mind paying a bit extra for some additional comfort features that this car comes loaded with.

Mahindra e20 – this is yet another low cost automatic car for the Indian car lovers. Priced at 4.8 to 6 lakh rupees, this small car is an electric vehicle. The car returns a mileage of 100 km per charge. Since the concept of electric cars is yet to take off in India, the e20 has not been able to do well here. However, if you are a city dweller and largely moves in the city, this could be the best car for you. Especially with rising fuel prices and environmental concerns, the e20 provides the best option of a low cost automatic car.

There were a few automatic models from Maruti, which are not available as of now. AMT versions of these cars are expected in the future.
